Raymond Chandler's first Philip Marlowe novel, The Big Sleep, was published in 1939. It was followed by Farewell, My Lovely; The High Window; The Lady in the Lake; The Little Sister; The Long Goodbye; and Playback. Chandler died in California in 1959.
Michael Lark, the illustrator for theis volume of The Little Sister, first gained notice for his "Airwaves" and "Taken Under" comic book series. His most recent collaboration has been with Dean Motter on Terminal City, a critically acclaimed limited series for DC's Vertigo Comics imprint.

It was great to be able to read the final Raymond Chandler Marlowe short story. The short Marlowe stories by other authors are uneven, and not nearly as good as the Chandler Marlowe novels and short story, or even as good as the Robert B. Parker Marlowe works. The book is definitely worth buying for the Chandller Marlowe short story alone.Product details

Great take on Chandler. Well done.
Perfectly good stories, as stories. As Chandler -- not so much. So what, they can't make decent horror movies any more, either. Today, he'd be Felipe Marlowe anyhow.
Each of the 23 short stories were written in Raymond Chandler's style by different authors. Great read.
