I hate to say it is disturbing because I am pretty open to rough subject matter, but this just troubled me. I'd also give this a better review, but with the story taking an even harsher turn from the first 2 books and the typos of not getting the female lead's (can't call her a heroine because she's not) name right were bothersome. I might have a different opinion if I could believe that the story line might end with the female lead not suffering from Stockholm syndrome and actually getting out of the situation, but given this genre, I have a feeling that won't happen. I am a pretty resilient reader when it comes to hardcore subject matter, but most of that is handled in non-romantic, rough situations. When you see that there is some element of romance trying to be infused into the story and then you have someone telling his wife that he loves her and then watches her be raped by 6 different men, it is disturbing to me. I generally only have an issue with 24/7 dom/sub stories and have handled some other taboo stories pretty well. This was just the wrong mix for me and I just couldn't handle it. Let's just hope that the author redeems the story in then end with giving the female lead some "lady balls."Product details
